FAQs

Do we need a spacer for inhaler medication?

Spacers improve medication delivery in nearly all cases. Depending on the age of the child, we will work with your child to determine the optimal delivery system for their needs.

Can my child play sports?

Yes. Even with exercise-induced asthma, appropriate warm-up strategies and safe parameters can be implemented to allow for full physical activity.

Are inhaled corticosteroids safe for long-term use?

Controller medications are prescribed at the lowest effective dose possible and are considered safe when used appropriately under medical supervision.
